Terramar golf course has a rich history dating back to 1922 when Tom Simpson designed the original 18 holes. Over the years, the course has undergone several changes, with the most significant taking place in 1993 when Jim Fazio Golf Design redesigned and reshaped the layout. The current routing of the course is a unique one, as the main railway line from Barcelona runs through it, splitting the holes into two sides. Holes 5 to 17 are played on the north side, with four ponds creating an additional challenge, while the remaining holes are on the coastal side. While all four par threes are challenging, with distances exceeding 180 yards, three of the four par-five holes present good birdie opportunities, as they are relatively short. The front nine features the tricky par-three 3rd, with a creek in front of the green, and the demanding, slight left doglegged par-four 8th. On the back nine, holes 12, 17, and 18 are standouts. The closing hole, in particular, is arguably the best on the course, a right doglegged par-four flanked by pine trees, with a well-bunkered putting surface elevated gently.
