Alicante - Severiano Ballesteros designed this fantastic 72-par golf course that includes six par-three holes, six par-four holes, and six par-five holes, meaning that no two consecutive holes are played with the same par in any one round. This format makes play more varied and entertaining and gives golfers many more chances of scoring a birdie. Seve also designed 5 large lakes affecting 12 of the 18 holes, resulting in an attractive and challenging course for golfers of all abilities. Alicante Golf is a course, with wide fairways and no blind shots. The competition-level fast greens are a real joy to play on and are kept in immaculate condition. Other great features of the course are the practice area, with a natural grass driving range and a fully-equipped short game area, plus the ruins of a Roman villa dating back to the 1st century BC at Hole 14. The ruins came to light during building work on the course and the ball has to clear them to get to the green.
