Añoreta Golf, founded in 1990 and designed by José María Cañizares, was the first golf course constructed in Axarquía (Rincón de la Victoria). Opened on June 30, 1990, with its first 9 holes, it quickly expanded to an 18-hole, par 72 course. The course was strategically transformed from mounts and gardens into bunkers, greens, and lakes, surprising local residents.Situated in a privileged location near the Mediterranean Sea, Añoreta Golf is only a few minutes from the Costa del Sol Airport, Picasso Museum, and the culturally significant Nerja Caves.
