The location of the course at the foot of a mountain distinguishes undoubtedly the touch Robert Trent Jones Snr. used to bring to life the Club de Golf El Bosque. Surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, the prestigious designer took advantage of the location in order to add beauty and movement to the 18 freeways of the course.
The Club de Golf Escorpion has a course is set in a very attractive pine covered valley surrounded by undulating hills. The setting is relatively flat with five lakes and orange groves acting as the rough. No other course in the region of Valencia has grown as much as Escorpion. Founded over 30 years ago as a sports club, it opened its first hole in 1975 with designs by Ron Kirby.
The total area of the land covers 200 Ha of which 60 are destined for the golf course and its facilities. Due to the topography of the land and its vegetal wealth, masses of forest have been left included within the design, creating green spaces that, in some cases, are considered hazards and others out of bounds but they have undoubtedly added more more natural elements to the course.
A 18 holes layout that has done much to enhance the growing reputation of architect Ramón Espinosa. It is a gem of a course located in a wide valley among mountains 6 km. away from the Mediterranean sea, and the subtly placed hazards make it tougher than you might think at first sight, although not to the point of scaring off the lesser players.
18 holes Designed and built by Severiano Ballesteros, it covers some 50 hectars, which are those that make up the surface area of the Oliva Nova Golf Club course. It is a links, par 72 of 6.312 m and a slope of 129, whose main characteristic is that in 15 of its holes, water enters into the game. The only ones you see free of this element are the holes 2, 13 y 14.
The Parador de El Saler (Valencia) Golf course is considered by professionals, amateurs, institutions and the specialized press alike to have one of the best course layouts in the world. Built in 1968 by the internationally recognized "architect of Spanish golf," Javier Arana, the course is located in the El Saler Nature Reserve, on the shores of the Mediterranean sea in the Autonomous Community of Valencia.
It is the only golf course in Spain designed by the German pro Bernhard Langer, nine times player and captain of the European Ryder Cup team and twice winner of the Masters. The golf course occupies a total of 80 hectares and is in perfect condition all year around. The course offers an excellent American design with it´s narrow fairways and neat rough. It´s a very enjoyable playing experience for every handicap, as well as a challenge for professional players.
